DALLAS, Sept. 29, 2005 – Ford and Harley-Davidson will extend the run of Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-Series trucks through 2009, which will mark 11 years since the first successful pairing of America’s best-selling vehicle and the legendary motorcycle brand. The announcement was made today at the State Fair of Texas, in the heart of the country’s largest pickup market.

Since the first Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-Series was launched in the 2000 model year, more than 50,000 limited-edition trucks have been built. For 2006, Ford will offer both F-150 and Super Duty Harley-Davidson™ editions for the first time, bringing the number of different models offered over the years to eight.

As always, the 2006 models will be rare: Ford will build up to 10,000 of the Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 SuperCab and 5,000 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-250 and F-350 models.

The successful collaboration between these two icons of the open road has produced five F-150 models, as well as three Super Duty F-250 and F-350 offerings. The 2006 model is the first Harley-Davidson™ edition vehicle built off the award-winning new Ford F-150 platform and the third off the Super Duty platform.

Hot-rod Inspired Custom Looks – 2006 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150

The 2006 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 SuperCab is the fifth F-150 in the Harley™ series and the first to be built from the all-new F-150 design introduced for 2003.

This truck communicates power – dressed in black, oozing chrome and sporting distinctive Harley-Davidson visual cues. Its custom appearance begins with the bold front-end design, featuring a unique chrome billet grille and blacked-out headlamps.

Based on a SuperCab configuration with a 6-1/2-foot Styleside box, the new 2006 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 cuts a menacing profile. Beefy 22-inch polished forged-aluminum rims – a first for any F-150 – sport a split five-spoke design, exposed lug nuts and the distinctive Bar & Shield logo on the center cap. The massive wheels give this ride undeniable attitude.

Between the wheel wells, chrome-accented side tubes help create an integrated appearance and enhance the truck’s powerful stance. The side tubes and the unique lower front valence, or chin spoiler, help create a lowered look.

Heavyweight zinc die-cast badges on the fenders celebrate the Ford Harley-Davidson alliance. Dark tinted smoked-out taillamps, a blacked-out bumper and the “Harley-Davidson F-150” badge distinguish the rear. Chrome tie-down hooks and a slash-cut chrome exhaust tip add even more street-rod appeal. ....
